Accreditation and Notification

At the beginning of the Nineties the ÖTI was accredited according to the Austrian Law of Accreditation and to EN 45001 as on of the first Austrian labs. Quality of service always beeing an self-evident imperative, the institute decided to have its quality management system improved and documented by an accreditation.

Today the ÖTI is accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 as Test Laboratory and according to EN 45011 as Certification Body for products by bmwfj and as Test Laboratory and Inspection Body according to EN ISO 17020 by the Austrian Institute of Construction Engineering (OIB). The ÖTI is Notified Body (NB 0534) for personal protective equipment, construction products and toys. Download Accreditation and Notification documents

The ÖTI is member of various international organisations and has contacts to institutions all over the world (administration, lobby-groups, universities, ON, DIN, CEN, ISO etc.).
The ÖTI is most likely offering the broadest range of services of this kind in Europe.
